Katya Volpi, Owner of Katya makeup artistry is a freelance professional makeup artist located in Thousand Oaks, California. Discovering beauty and cosmetics in her early teens, Katya decided that a career in makeup artistry was her calling. After becoming a fully licensed cosmetologist in 1986, she completed a mandatory one year apprenticeship for makeup artistry at the prestigious Menage a Trois salon in Beverly Hills.

From there, she took her artistry to Valerie Cosmetics. She expanded her makeup expertise by working closely with several talented industry makeup artists, developing skills in photography and video makeup. Wanting to offer total beauty, Katya also completed a two year apprenticeship in hair cutting and design.

With the creation of her business, Katya makeup artistry, she can now offer her dynamic range of services for everyone ranging from the individual to the audience.

Katya is continually educating herself on new products, trends and application techniques for her artistry.

She is always a contemporary, in touch with modern beauty and intuitive of the needs of today's woman.
